Nohea is a local girl born and raised here in Hawai‘i. She goes to Aloha Nui Elelmentary school and is in the 3rd grade. When she was in kindergarten, she started dancing hula with her Aunty Marialani’s hālau. She went to preschool at Punana Leo, so she is also bilingual speaking both Hawaiian and English.

Nohea has two brothers and a sister. They all live with their parents in Kahalu’u. They love it there because of its green plants, and closeness to the ocean. They love waking up to the crow of the roosters and the smell of the ocean. Sometimes they help their grandpa make their monthly imu to cook their food for the week.

Nohea’s favorite pastime is going to the beach with her family. She also loves to go hiking at Hawai’i’s different trails, and discovering its special plants and animals. She also loves hula, and learning about different people and places. When she’s not outdoors, her second best outlet is reading a book. Through reading, Nohea likes engaging in adventures and learning new things in books.

Nohea could be considered curious and adventuresome. She is very nice and well liked by her friends. She respects her teachers and parents, and she strives to always do her best in all she does.

Nohea will be available for bookings this fall. Please contact First Years Hawaii at phone: (808) 531-6016 or email: fyh@firstyearshawaii.org
