Providing Infants & toddlers Knowledge and Opportunity

First Years Hawaii’s logo ties into our slogan – P.I.K.O Providing Infants & toddlers Knowledge and Opportunity.  The PIKO symbol as a part of our logo represents an understanding that all keiki depend on us to provide them the essential tools for a positive outcome in life.  The fetus symbolizes the most influential stages in life, infant and toddler, and the AKA or the aura that surrounds the fetus signifies a child’s openness to learning.

PIKO - One of three Hawaiian representations of piko is the navel that acts as the lifeline between the mother and unborn child.  It is the line that allows the mother to nourish her unborn child creating a lifetime connection.  The piko is the life force where all energy and knowledge comes from.

AKA – Is an ever changing illumination surrounding a person.  As you move through life your aura changes.  First Years Hawaii chose a dotted aura to symbolize the space available for permeation of knowledge to our keiki at the tender stage of infancy.

First Years Hawaii, together with, Native Hawaiian artist Ipo Nihipali who used her knowledge and artistic energies created our logo.  www.iponihipaligallery.com

Mahalo to Ipo Nihipali for helping First Years Hawaii to design and create our beautiful logo!
